iPhone Duo: Price, Specs and Features
iPhone Duo is now available in its first launch markets. Apple's first foldable iPhone reached stores on October 23, 2026, bringing a compact outer screen and a larger folding display to the iPhone lineup.
With a US starting price of $1,999, it sits firmly in premium-phone territory. Here are the official specifications, the features that distinguish it, and the details worth checking before buying.
Updated October 24, 2026. This is an overview of Apple's announcements and specifications, not a hands-on review.
iPhone Duo price and availability
Apple announced a $1,999 starting price in the United States, with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. The finishes are Star White and Night Sky.
The first availability date was October 23, following pre-orders on October 16. Apple's launch coverage confirms that customers began visiting stores worldwide for purchases and demonstrations.
The US starting price is not a confirmed Moroccan retail price. Check your local seller's stock, warranty terms and total price rather than converting the US figure alone.
Two screens for different tasks
The outer OLED measures 5.4 inches; opening the device reveals a 7.6-inch folding OLED. Both support adaptive ProMotion up to 120Hz and outdoor peak brightness up to 3,000 nits.
Apple describes the inner screen's nano-texture finish as reducing reflections and the visibility of the crease. That is a design claim, not proof that a crease is absent in every lighting condition.
The practical appeal is straightforward: use the smaller screen for a quick interaction, then open the phone when you want more room. Whether that helps your routine depends on the apps and tasks you use most.
A20 Pro and foldable hardware
Apple lists the A20 Pro chip, a titanium foldable body and a weight of 254 grams. Thickness is listed as 5.2mm open and 11.3mm closed.
The launch announcement describes vapor-chamber cooling and a dual-battery architecture. Authentication uses Touch ID in the side button, working with the phone open or closed.
Those dimensions are worth considering alongside screen size: an unfolded device and a folded device occupy different amounts of space in your hand and pocket.
Cameras and battery ratings
The rear system combines a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera also provides a 2x optical-quality view; that is not a separate dedicated telephoto lens.
There is an outer 12MP front camera and an under-display FaceTime camera inside.
Apple rates video playback at up to 44 hours on the outer display or 31 hours on the inner display. These are manufacturer test figures, not a promise of identical everyday runtime.
Software and Apple Pencil support
Apple announced iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1 and a software experience adapted to folding. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI availability depend on supported languages and regions.
Apple Pencil with USB-C support was announced for later in 2026. Check current availability before buying a Pencil specifically for the phone.

What should buyers check?
A store demonstration is useful for judging typing comfort, screen reflections and how your most-used apps behave when the phone opens. Compare those benefits with the folded size and the price you would actually pay.
Published specifications can establish what hardware is included. They cannot replace independent testing of long-term hinge wear, real-world battery life or camera performance.
